We just made the BEST Cheesy Garlic Bread Chaffle Recipe ever!  If you want a simple appetizer that serves up really fast, make this recipe!  It will even be enjoyed by your non-keto friends!  Seriously, they will love it too!

The keto diet has been so good to me.  It’s amazing keto chaffle recipes like this that keep things interesting.  It hardly feels like anything that should be called a diet.  It’s a lifestyle…  it is for me anyway.  I don’t think I would have said that the first 4 months into my journey though…  I remember vividly how difficult it was to get started and kick the sugar and carbs addictions I used to face.

Cheesy Garlic Bread Chaffle Recipe Ingredients

(makes 2 cheesy garlic bread chaffles)

Garlic Bread Chaffle Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp cream cheese (I prefer to use flavored cream cheese such as chive and onion or jalapeno but you can use plain too)

Garlic Butter Topping Ingredients

  • 1 tbs butter
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Cheesy Bread Topping

  • 2 tbs mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • dash of parsley (or more Italian seasoning)

Cheesy Garlic Bread Chaffle Recipe Instructions

  1. Preheat your mini waffle maker.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350F.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together all of the garlic bread chaffle ingredients until it’s well combined.
  4. Divide the mixture in half and cook the first chaffle for a minimum of 4 minutes.  If you like you chaffles a bit crunchy on the outside, I would suggest you place a tsp of shredded cheese onto the waffle maker 30 seconds before adding the chaffle ingredients.  This will create a nice, crunchy crust that’s pretty amazing!
  5. After you cook both of the garlic bread chaffles in the waffle maker, transfer them to a baking sheet.
  6. In a separate small bowl, melt the butter in the microwave for about 10 seconds.
  7. Add the garlic butter seasonings to the butter mixture.
  8. Spread the butter mixture onto the warm chaffles with a basting brush.
  9. Sprinkle a small amount of mozzarella on top of the garlic bread chaffles and then sprinkle with more Italian seasoning.
  10. Bake for 5 minutes at 350F degrees.  This is just enough time to melt the cheese on top of the Cheesy Garlic Bread Chaffles!

Serve warm and enjoy them with a sugar free marinara sauce such as Rao’s marinara sauce!
