This technique used to make Air Fryer Egg Toast with some bacon is easy to make especially if you are in a hurry and need a fast breakfast.
The bacon be cooked a few different ways depending on the texture you prefer. I obviously prefer my bacon crispy. Oh, so yummy! I purchase my bacon precooked from Costco. You don’t have to use precooked bacon with this technique but if you like your bacon crispy, you will want to precook it.
The bread is also a big topic of conversation with anyone doing the keto diet. Back when I started keto there was no pre-packed keto bread options in my grocery store. I love how there are so many different keto bread options to choose from today.

Where do I purchase this keto bread?
This bread is from Lewis Bake Shop. It’s the healthy living portion of this company. It can be a bit of a struggle to find this bread locally if you live in a city. I found this bread at a Brookshire’s Grocery store in the country when I was on a road trip. I’m sure I looked half crazy when I loaded up with 2 bags of each type of bread they had. I had room in my freezer so I knew I could freeze it to preserve the freshness by the time I needed to use it.
Luckily, there are many different keto bread options on Amazon.com. Some keto breads tend to be a bit dense. This might be the reason I like Lewis Bake Shop breads most because they are made with resistant wheat starch! Resistant wheat starch is keto friendly because it is not digested by the human body. This means it’s not like other carbohydrates and it won’t spike your blood sugars. Resistant wheat starch is also known to be good for gut health because it feeds the friendly (good) bacteria in your gut.

You will always see a rise in your blood sugars when a food does not agree with you. No but you can bet I am working on that. I have created many different copycat food recipes and I definitely plan on creating my own homemade keto bread recipe using this starch because of all of the benefits. It’s not easy creating new recipes and it takes many different attempts and can be very costly especially as the food prices are on the rise.
Can I use another keto friendly bread option?
Yes! You can use any of your favorite keto breads that you enjoy. The cooking temperature may differ with different bread options though. I would always check the cooking times by checking the baking process in the air fryer about halfway through the regular cooking time. I have noticed the denser the bread the more it burns when you toast it.
What type of bacon is best to use in this recipe?
I used precooked bacon from Costco that is super thin. This gives me the extra crispy bacon that I love. If you prefer bacon cooked less crispy I would suggest using bacon that is not precooked but make sure it’s a thin sliced bacon. The egg tends to cook the quickest. If you use thick cut bacon you will have an overcooked egg because the bacon won’t be fully cooked by the time the egg is. The cook time may also be another minute or two if you cook regular bacon with this technique. Timing really depends on how you like your bacon to be prepared.
Ingredients Needed to Make Air Fryer Egg Toast with Bacon
- Keto Friendly Bread (1 slice) we used Lewis Bake Shop Hawaiian
- 2 slices thin bacon (precooked for crispy or thin sliced raw)
- 1 medium egg
- butter
- 1/2 avocado
- salt
- pepper
How to Make Air Fryer Egg Toast with Bacon
Step 1 – Prepare the bread
Spread butter on the Keto friendly bread.
Step 2 – Prepare the Air Fryer
Add a sheet of parchment paper to the bottom of the air fryer. Make sure it is big enough to hold the slice of bread and any extra bacon if you are cooking extra bacon.
Step 3 – Add the ingredients on top of the bread
Place the bread on top of the parchment paper in the air fryer. Cut the bacon into half pieces. Place the bacon on the outside edges of the bread. Crack an egg and place it in the center of the bacon slices. The bacon will hold the egg in place.
Step 4 – Bake the Egg Bread in the Air Fryer
Place the air fryer basket into the fryer and set the air fryer to 350 degrees and cook time for 8 minutes.
