Keto Maple French Toast Bagels Recipe
The excitement of breakfast time just got even better with these Keto Maple French Toast Bagels! A wonderful cross between a classic french toast plate and a yummy warm bread bagel.
You’ve probably already seen our Keto 90 Second Bread French Toast Recipe or the 90 Second Bread Keto Baked Bagels Recipe.. Well, I was playing around in the kitchen and decided the French Toast bread, needed to be a bagel too! There you have it folks, as simple as that and then an amazing new creation!
As always, with any new development, there are many questions out there. So, here are a few of my best answers.
Are these bagels similar to other low carb bagel recipes?
I will admit, there are many variations of a Keto/Low Carb bagel out in the internet world now.. BUT this version has the Lakanto Maple Syrup baked RIGHT IN! So you get that yummy, maple goodness from the first bite. Of course, you can add other delicious toppings to it, but I mostly just like to enjoy one as a bread, all by itself.
Do these taste like Tim Horton’s Maple Cinnamon French Toast Bagel?
Honestly, There isn’t a Tim Horton’s location on the West Coast, so I wouldn’t even be able to tell you that information. I can say, I looked them up online and here is what I can tell you:
Tim Horton’s Maple Cinnamon French Toast Bagel-
Calories 350, Total C 67g, Fiber 2g, Sugar 15g, Net C 65g, Fat 4g, Protein 10g
This Keto Maple French Toast Bagel-
Calories 164, Total C 16g, Fiber 10g, SA 5g, Net C 1g, Fat 9g, Protein 4g
The taste of these is fantastic and you could easily add a sprinkle of cinnamon and keto-friendly sweetener over top. I bet they would be a delicious comparison.
Can these Keto Maple French Toast Bagel’s be DAIRY FREE?
As a matter of fact, they actually are! The only variation I have used/added, was thinning out the batter with a splash of unsweetened almond milk. This also worked and they baked just fine.
Now that you have a bit more information, let’s see those bagels!

Notes:
If you don’t have bacon grease, you could use butter or oil- but I really enjoy the flavor it gives from the bacon grease.
Enjoy them with cream cheese, peanut butter, SF maple syrup or jam. Any way you like them, breakfast is going to be delicious!
I tried alternatively baking them in a muffin top pan, and they were just like a pancake. I imagine a mini bread loaf pan would do just as well.

I made these tonight. I accidentally made 6 instead of 12. I used my hand mixer to blend the batter. I probably should have thinned it a bit and next time I’ll make 12🤣
