Ingredients You’ll Need
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup coconut aminos (or soy sauce if you prefer)
- 2 tbs ginger paste
- 3 tbs garlic, minced
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper
- 3 tbs sugar free honey or sugar free maple syrup (use regular honey if you prefer a caramelized glazed texture – not keto)
- 6 to 8 chicken thighs (boneless) or legs
How to Make Honey Garlic Chicken Marinade
- Add ingredients into a ziplock bag or air tight container. Reserve 1/8 cup to the side so you can use it as a baste close to the end of grilling your chicken
- Toss in your choice of chicken.
- Mix around and make sure each chicken is coated and allow it to sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to marinade.
- Once the 30 minutes have gone by, you can remove the chicken thighs or legs from the container to grill them as you normally would.
- About 5 minutes before you pull them from the grill, baste them with the reserved marinade to give them an added stickiness like a barbecue sauce. So good!
Note: The longer this marinades, the better the flavor will be. So you can prep this the night before if you want.
