Easy Keto Bread Bowl Recipe

We just made a super easy Keto Bread Bowl that is perfect for soups or dips!

We loaded with with this Low Carb Broccoli Cheese soup recipe .  We started our keto journey with this Keto Broccoli and cheese soup and it was absolutely delicious but it’s not as thick.  I couldn’t be more pleased with the final result.  This would be an excellent way to display dips at a party or celebration too.  It’s an edible keto bread bowl!

It’s a simple bread recipe that we took from our Low Carb Fathead dough recipe but we tweaked it just a bit.  We also used two small bowls as the bread bowl mold to help shape the bowls as they baked in the oven.  This technique is super easy and I will definitely be making this again!

You can use this recipe for many things!  You could use it as a bowl for a salad just like we did in our Keto Taco Salad Bowl Recipe here.  It’s perfect especially if you don’t own one of those waffle bowl makers used in that recipe.

This recipe is hearty too.  This means you will fill up fast.  It’s definitely a recipe to share with many!  I was able to eat a 1/4 of the bowl.  So filling!

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  1. Heat cheese in the microwave for 1 1/2 minutes.  Stir.  If the cheese is not fully melted, add it back to the microwave for another 30 seconds.
  2. Mix the melted cheese and cream cheese together.
  3. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and almond flour.
  4. Add the egg.
  5. With clean hands mix the dough by grabbing the ends and folding it inwards.  Do this until all the ingredients are incorporated.
  6. Set aside.
  7. Prep two small bowls.  I used small soup bowls.
  8. Tear off two sheets of parchment paper.
  9. Crumble the sheets with your hands until you form a ball.
  10. Run the crumbled parchment paper under water.
  11. Unwrap the wet parchment paper and shake it off slightly to remove most of the water.
  12. Wrap the wet paper over the bowls bottom and tuck the remaining paper under the bowl.  Place the bowl on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat upside down.
  13. The upside down bowl will be the mold used to shape your keto bread bowl.
  14. Divid the dough in half and press the dough down on the bowls outside until it covers the bowl fully.
  15. Do that again to the second bowl.
  16. Place the sheet pan in the oven and cook it for about 20 minutes or until the bowls are light golden brown.
  17. Remove them from the oven and allow them to cook for at least 5 minutes.
  18. The bowl will be soft when it comes right out of the oven.
  19. Remove the bowl from the bowl and place it upright.
  20. Fill it with the soup or dip of your choice and enjoy!  We used this Low Carb Broccoli Cheese soup recipe.

Notes

Makes two large bowls but you could easily use different size bowls for each mold and make much smaller bowls too.

Thank you for this!!! So damn good. I made the white chicken chili to put in the bowls, and both recipes were delicious.
I think next time I’ll use a smaller bowl, so I can make four and have leftovers.
