OMG!  Our friend Cheryl just made a CORNDOG Chaffle Recipe and we love it!  The key to this recipe is in the extract she used for flavor.  We all know that when we are trying to do a low carb or keto diet, we need to steer clear of grains such as cornbread so this corndog chaffle recipe uses an extract to get that corn flavor!  Corn Silk Glycerite is the cornbread extract we used and it is the key ingredient to making this recipe taste like real corn!  This corn extract is not cheap by any sense of the word but a little bit does go a long way.

This recipe is made without using egg whites too!  Cheryl has an allergy to egg whites so it’s super important she has other recipe options.  She uses ground flaxseed and water as a binder for this recipe just as egg whites would do and it works perfectly!  If you don’t have an egg allergy, you can use an egg in its place.

Just add your favorite hot dog and top it with mustard and relish as seen below!  YUM!

Keto Corndog Chaffle RecipeY’all, This seriously tastes just like a real corn dog!!!

Corndog Chaffle Recipe Ingredients

  • Flax Egg – Mix 1 T ground flaxseed with 3 T water
    • Set aside to rest (If you’re not allergic to egg whites skip the flax and use 1 large egg)
  • 1 1/2 T Melted Butter
  • 2 tsp sweetener, granulated
  • 3 T Almond Flour
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 2 T heaping Mexican Blend Cheese
  • 1 T chopped Pickled Jalapeños
  • 15 -20 drops Cornbread Flavoring
  • Extra cheese for sprinkling on waffle maker

The secret ingredient for this recipe is this:

Corndog Chaffle Recipe Instructions

  1. Mix everything together. Let rest for 5 mins. Add 1 T of water or HWC if it’s too thick.
  2. Sprinkle shredded cheese on the bottom of the waffle maker. Add 1/3 of batter. Sprinkle top with more shredded cheese.
  3. Close waffle iron.
  4. Don’t press down.
  5. Remove when the cheese is crisp. Repeat. Makes 3.

This is the cornbread flavoring I used.
