I just made the best Keto BLT Chaffle Sandwich I’ve ever had in two years! I promise you the chaffle is the new keto bread and when you try it, you will instantly know why!!
Just look at this BLT Chaffle! Isn’t it stunning?!! It tastes even better than it looks! The bacon was cooked perfectly. We always have bacon pre-cooked and ready to reheat during the week. I kinda use it as a snack if I get hungry during the day. It took maybe all of 5 minutes to whip up some chaffle bread. We used the same base at the normal Keto Chaffle Recipe but his time I added a bit of Italian seasoning and fresh green onion diced really small to my chaffle bread.
Keto BLT Chaffle Sandwich Ingredients
Chaffle bread ingredients
- 1/2 cup mozzarella, shredded
- 1 egg
- 1 tbs green onion, diced
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Sandwich ingredients
- Bacon, pre-cooked
- Lettuce
- Tomato, sliced
- 1 tbs mayo
Keto BLT Chaffle Sandwich Instructions
- Preheat the mini waffle maker
- In a small bowl, whip the egg.
- Add the cheese, seasonings, and onion. Mix it until it’s well incorporated.
- Place half the batter in the mini waffle maker and cook it for 4 minutes.
- If you want a crunchy bread, add a tsp of shredded cheese to the mini waffle iron for 30 seconds before adding the batter. The extra cheese on the outside creates the best crust!
- After the first chaffle is complete, add the remaining batter to the mini waffle maker and cook it for 4 minutes.
- Add the mayo, bacon, lettuce, and tomato to your sandwich.
- Enjoy!
