Keto BLT Chaffle Sandwich
I just made the best Keto BLT Chaffle Sandwich I’ve ever had in two years! I promise you the chaffle is the new keto bread and when you try it, you will instantly know why!!
Just look at this BLT Chaffle! Isn’t it stunning?!! It tastes even better than it looks! The bacon was cooked perfectly. We always have bacon pre-cooked and ready to reheat during the week. I kinda use it as a snack if I get hungry during the day. It took maybe all of 5 minutes to whip up some chaffle bread. We used the same base at the normal Keto Chaffle Recipe but his time I added a bit of Italian seasoning and fresh green onion diced really small to my chaffle bread.
Keto BLT Chaffle Sandwich Ingredients
Chaffle bread ingredients
- 1/2 cup mozzarella, shredded
- 1 egg
- 1 tbs green onion, diced
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Sandwich ingredients
- Bacon, pre-cooked
- Lettuce
- Tomato, sliced
- 1 tbs mayo
Keto BLT Chaffle Sandwich Instructions
- Preheat the mini waffle maker
- In a small bowl, whip the egg.
- Add the cheese, seasonings, and onion. Mix it until it’s well incorporated.
- Place half the batter in the mini waffle maker and cook it for 4 minutes.
- If you want a crunchy bread, add a tsp of shredded cheese to the mini waffle iron for 30 seconds before adding the batter. The extra cheese on the outside creates the best crust!
- After the first chaffle is complete, add the remaining batter to the mini waffle maker and cook it for 4 minutes.
- Add the mayo, bacon, lettuce, and tomato to your sandwich.
- Enjoy!

The recipe says it serves 2 but makes only two chaffles. Is one serving half a sandwich?
Yes, you will fill up on only 1/2 the sandwich.
Do these freeze well?
The chaffles by themselves freeze well. You can store them in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and in the freezer for up to a month.

This was the bomb!! I wasn’t sure about the italian seasoning, but wow! So good. Just getting back on keto and the chaffles are a new thing for me. Loving them ๐ Thanks Jen, this was a fantastic 2 day in a row sandwich! Going to try the shortcake one tonight! I did update the nutrition info on them because it was way off on what I actually came up with counting each ingredient, and am guessing that is due to brand differences. Delish! I followed recipe and used half of the batter at a time in my mini waffle but it kept spilling over ? Any tips ?
