Keto Friendly Deep Fried Jalapeños

Sharing is caring!

Looking for a delicious not too spicy treat? These Keto Friendly Deep Fried Jalapeños are just what you need! Battered and deep fried to perfection, this jalapeños are the perfect afternoon snack!

This batter is the perfect keto friendly batter to make for anything you want to deep fry!  The trick is protein powder.  Make sure to get the unflavored protein powder.  It helps to create a sticky bond that replaces the gluten in regular flour.  All you have to do to deep fry anything is to pat the food dry and dip the food in protein powder.  It’s sticks like glue so that when you dip it in the batter it really sticks nicely!

This is a wonderful keto snack!  It’s got a little bit of a kick and a crunchy coating!  Y’all know how hard it is to get crunchy anything on keto!  I’m super excited to share this with you because it was a big hit with my family.  Next time, I need to make a double batch of them.

Keto Friendly Deep Fried Jalapeños Instructions

  1. Combine almond flour, protein powder, and seasonings in one bowl.
  2. Add the egg and whip in to create the batter.
  3. Drain and pat dry the pickled jalapeños.
  4. Lightly dust the jalapeños with some extra protein powder. This will help the batter stick to the peppers.
  5. Heat up a medium to a large frying pan with avocado oil-filled about 1 inch high. Enough to completely fry the jalapeños. Start your heat at medium-high and reduce as needed since some of them cook too fast.
  6. Dip the peppers in the keto batter and place them in the oil that is already hot.
  7. Spread them out in the frying pan so they are not touching.
  8. Fry them for a minute or two on each side. Just enough to get a light golden brown color.
  9. Serve warm or cold.
  10. Serve with a side of ranch dressing.
