Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole Recipe
You have got to try our keto-friendly bacon cheeseburger casserole recipe! This recipe serves a big crowd and makes for wonderful leftovers if you want to save time in the kitchen and prep ahead! It reheats nicely and the flavors set in so it almost tastes better the second day.
In this recipe, we use sugar-free ketchup and sugar-free barbecue sauce. My favorite sugar-free barbecue sauce is a store-bought brand called Sweet Baby Rays and it’s made with Allulose sweetener but it can be hard to find in the stores. When I do find it, I buy a few just to stock up. You can also purchase it online (linked below). It’s rich in flavor. It’s also the perfect thickness and sweetness. Allulose sweetener is a keto-friendly option and caramelizes nicely which makes it perfect in barbecue sauce. You will find that we use it in a lot of our ice cream recipes too.
G.Hughes makes a sugar free ketchup. In fact, G Hughes makes a lot of really good sauce options and they are worth trying. Heinz makes a no-sugar added ketchup which is also pretty good.
I always add the cold shredded lettuce and cheeseburger sauce on top of the casserole just before serving it.
Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole Recipe Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 6 eggs, whipped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar free ketchup
- 2 tablespoons sugar free bbq sauce
- 1 tablespoon ground mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Sliced or diced pickles
- 1/4 cup bacon bits, precooked and crumbled
- Shredded lettuce
- Cheeseburger sauce (recipe below)
Cheeseburger Sauce Topping Ingredients
- 3/4 cup mayo
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons sugar free ketchup
- 1 tablespoon dill pickle juice
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole Recipe Instructions
- Cook ground beef until browned.
- Saute diced onion into the ground beef.
- Drain and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, add the eggs.
- Whip the eggs until fluffy.
- Add the garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, chili powder, sugar-free ketchup, sugar-free bbq sauce, ground mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and heavy cream.
- Mix until all the ingredients have fully combined.
- Pour the ground beef into a large casserole dish.
- Pour the cheeseburger egg mixture sauce over the ground beef.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese and bacon bits
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
- Cut into squares and serve.
- Top with shredded lettuce, cold pickles, and cheeseburger sauce drizzled over the lettuce.
Cheeseburger Sauce Topping Instructions
- Mix all ingredients together in a bowl until fully combined.
