Cold foam has taken over the world of coffee. What once was an exclusive treat to get at your local coffee shop is now something you can easily make at home. And the best part? You don’t need any sugar! This sugar free sweet cold foam recipe is the perfect way to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee without all the guilt.
What is Cold Foam?
Cold foam is simply cream that has been frothed and then refrigerated. It’s often used as a topping for coffee drinks, but can also be enjoyed on its own. The beauty of cold foam is that it’s light and airy, yet still creamy and delicious. Plus, it’s super easy to make especially since I add a bit of cream cheese to mine for something that tastes a bit extra in a good way!
How to Make Sugar Free Sweet Cold Foam
Start by frothing your cream or milk of choice in a blender or with an electronic milk frother. You can stop there or you can add a small amount of room temperature cream cheese to give it some extra richness. Once the cream is frothy, add in a sugar free sweetener of your choice and blend until combined. Pour the mixture into a jar or container and refrigerate for at least an hour, or until thickened.
I personally like to use Skinny Syrups in my cold foam recipes. You won’t even know they don’t contain any real sugar.
To serve, simply spoon the cold foam onto your coffee or other beverage of choice. Cold foam can be used in hot or ice cold drinks! Enjoy as is, or top with a sprinkle of cinnamon or cocoa powder for an extra special treat!
