Easy Keto Maple Butter Recipe

This Easy Keto Maple Butter Recipe is great for adding additional fat to your meal, without extra carbs. Simple, flavorful and good on just about anything!

Flavored butter – Compound butter is so easy to make and enjoy for yourself or gift in jars to family. I’ve made many different flavors of compound butters, but this is definitely the best so far!

What is compound butter?

Compound butters are mixtures of butter and herbs, spices, flavor extracts or syrups. Primarily, they are used to enhance flavor in various dishes and can be sweet or savory.

To freeze your herb butter: Wrap the compound butter tightly in plastic wrap, then in foil. Butter picks up odors easily, so the foil will protect it from developing off-flavors from other foods in your freezer. The butter should be used within 2-3 months.

What can this Maple Butter be used with?

  1. Leave the butter out on the counter (about 1 hr) to soften.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, add butter and powdered sweetener.
  3. Use a hand mixer to beat until soft and creamed together.
  4. Add extracts and salt. Mix until well incorporated.
  5. Scrape out into a jar or container with lid.
  6. Optionally- roll in plastic wrap for a compound butter!
  7. Store in fridge or (once solid) slice and freeze for later use.
