For my birthday my awesome fiancée made these German Chocolate Chaffles with Carrie Browns cherry ripple from her ice cream scoop cookbook and homemade whipped cream. It made the best Black Forest cake ever. Thanks
I have been waiting for the right time to try this recipe out and WOW it is great! My chaffle batter seemed a bit lumpy but when cooked it smoothed out just fine. I must have under cooked the filling a bit so after I added the coconuts, nuts, etc. I put it back on the stove for a bit. It came out exactly as I wanted it. I ended up with 5 chaffles, but that is great. I won’t be able to eat all of this in one sitting. It would be great for sharing with someone. Thanks for posting this! I have been trying out at least one keto recipe a day (from lots of different authors) and have found only about 1 in 3 that I like. This is a keeper!
Turned out so delicous! Topped mine with a chocolate drizzle
I’ve made this twice and both times it turned out fabulous. I ended up with 5 chaffles both times, but oh well…..I wondered if I should have only used 1 egg in the batter and the other for the filling, but I watched your video and you used 2 eggs in the batter. Non-the-less this is more than enough for 2 people and well worth the work it takes for all the steps involved. Thank you for sharing.
