When you consider the thought of eating fewer carbs, it panics you a little. I get it! Carbs are convenient, tasty, and very budget friendly. Reducing your carb without noticing may sound fake, but it’s possible.
Excessive carb intake is an addiction of sorts. You can be so addicted to carbs that you don’t even notice. Maybe it’s time to start the reduction of carbs!
How to Reduce Carb Intake Without Noticing
#1. Find low carb bread options
Most people who are scared about reducing their carb intake are talking about missing bread. Bread is an important part of any idea diet, but it’s just a matter of which bread you’re eating.
There is low carb bread out there, you may just need to make it yourself. You can still enjoy sandwiches and a side of bread with your soup, you just have to ensure it’s not the carb-laden bread you buy at the store. This Keto 90 Second Bread is one of my favorites simply because it’s so easy to make and everyone in my family loves it too!
#2. Indulge in those healthy fats
Carbs are only in the forefront of your mind because they’re your main fuel intake. When you switch to the healthy fats, you won’t be missing carbs much.
You can enjoy so much thanks to these healthy fats. Avocados, mayonnaise, meats, yogurts, and so much more! It’s quite amazing what you can enjoy when you focus on what you can have instead of what you cannot have.
#3. Avoid those heavily processed low carb foods
If you are to do anything to help you avoid your high carb intake, avoid processed low carb foods. While they’re okay on occasion, they can trick your body. You don’t always know what the foods are made of, which can make it hard for your body.
Making things from scratch like these keto lasagna noodles is always a good move because then you know what’s in it, can portion it, and enjoy it as you see fit without a lot of guilt.
#5. Don’t take away all the carbs
Let’s be honest, you’re going to notice a carb drop if you eat zero carbs. You have to ease your way off “most” of the carbs. Most people on the keto diet eat between 20-30 carbs a day. Those who are on a low carb diet eat between 50-100.
You can reduce your carb intake without noticing by eating some carbs but not all the carbs. Plus, when you do eat carbs, eating the right carbs will help.
Reducing your carb intake without noticing is all about eating the right stuff. You may miss the carb-filled snack cakes or the hot dog buns from time to time, but the way you feel inside will make up for all of that.
