What Can I use Instead of a Hamburger Bun?

When eating low carb and keto, you are trying to avoid things that are carb heavy, like bread. Since most hamburger buns are high in carbs, using this keto hamuber bun recipe makes the perfect hamburger bun substitute. It holds up well without being flaky and crumbly.  You can also just use lettuce as a wrap!

What is Fat Head Dough?

Fat Head Dough is a dough that uses a low carb flour as its base. I like to use almond flour in my fat head dough. The almond flour is mixed with mozzarella cheese and cream cheese and then used as a bread dough to create a low carb substitute.

What Does Fat Head Dough Taste Like?

Because of the almond flour, the buns will have a bread-like feel. The cheese gives this dough an airy texture. Some people use this dough to make buns like this and pizza crust, among other things.

How to Store Fat Head Dough?

Fat head dough can be stored in the refrigerator and the freezer. It does well in both. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 10 days and in the freezer for one to two months.

  2. Very tasty! Cheesy.
Can they be stored somehow to eat the next day? Or they are good only when just baked?

Really tasty. Not as dense as others I have made, which is a good thing. Super easy to make. My only criticism would be that these are super small. I will make 6 next time. But, I will definitely make these again.
