Questions I get asked about Country Style Pork Ribs

How to Make Country Style Pork Ribs Tender?

THIS TECHNIQUE! Sorry, don’t mean to scream but this is so exciting to have super, duper tender ribs made in the pressure cooker. You cannot get them this tender using any other method. Promise!

What are Country Style Ribs?

Country style ribs are cut from the blade end of the loin close to the pork shoulder. They are meatier than other rib cuts. They contain no rib bones, but instead, contain parts of the shoulder blade. They are very tender meat out of all the ribs cuts.

How to cook country style ribs in a crock pot?

You can use the same recipe here but slow cook them in the crock pot for between 6 to 8 hours, until done. I much prefer the Instant Pot Pressure Cooker method when I am pressed for time.

What size Instant Pot Pressure Cooker do you use?

I have a family of four so I use the 6 Quart Instant Pot Pressure Cooker seen here on Amazon. It’s the perfect size for a family of four.

What Temp are Country Style Ribs Done at?

According to USDA, ribs are “done” when they are 145°F internal temp, but they may still be tough. If you take them up to 180 to 203°F, the collagens and fats melt at this temp and make the meat more tender and juicy! This recipe above will make them tender and juicy!

How to Cook Country Style Ribs in an Air Fryer?

Honestly, I wouldn’t even attempt it. I would much prefer the grill before an air fryer but this Pressure Cooker technique is my all time favorite!

How to Cook Country Style Ribs in the Oven Fast?

Honestly, there is no other faster way to make these ribs and to make them super tender when you want them done fast.

Can Country Style Ribs be Pink on the Inside?

No. I would cook them until you reach the recommended temperature stated above or until they are white on the inside.

I made this recipe today and WOW! I browned them in the pressure cooker first and ate them without the barbecue sauce. Will definitely use this recipe again, so easy.
