Lazy Keto Versus Strict Keto
It is finally that time of year again where days upon days of sunshine and warmth are upon us. This means shorts, tank tops, and swimsuits for most. But everyone wants to look their best, especially when they are showing more skin. What better way to get the body you want than with dieting?
The Keto diet is becoming ever so popular among many. The Keto diet is a low carb diet in which you consume high fats and adequate proteins. This diet helps your body burn more fats as opposed to carbohydrates. But as with all diets, there is a lazy way, and a strict way to follow the Keto diet.
Lazy Keto
Lazy Keto is focusing mostly on your carb intake. Taking the lazy Keto route will still allow you to lose weight because by consuming fewer carbs, generally around 20 grams per day, you are still forcing your body into ketosis. The lazy Keto way is great for just about anyone. If you have a desire to lose weight, but not so much of a desire to count calories and follow a strict regimen you will likely want to start out the lazy way. The pounds should shed quickly, especially if you have a lot of weight to lose.
Lazy Keto doesn’t necessarily count macros
Most people who take the lazy keto route don’t count their macros. Some will even start macro counting in the beginning, but once they know what they are doing, they will slack on the tracking. This works great for people who are busy and don’t have as much time to be strict.
Lazy Keto may cause stalls
If you’re doing lazy keto and aren’t as focused on being strict, you may see a weight loss stall. An example of lazy keto might be choosing prepackaged keto foods. While these are okay, you don’t want to overdo them as they can stall you. Just make sure you know what foods stall or don’t stall you!
Strict Keto
Strict Keto is great for both beginners and those who have come to a standstill in their weight loss. It is for those who are truly dedicated to their weight loss goals. With strict Keto not only are you counting carbs, but you are also counting calories. This is why it can be helpful when you have hit a standstill in your weight loss with lazy Keto. By counting calories, along with your carbs. you will likely find that you have been taking in too many calories and can modify your diet to lower calorie intake as well.
Strict Keto for a time period
As I’ve done my research, I’ve noticed that people like doing strict Keto as a challenge group of sorts. It’s easier to do strict Keto for a small length of time than it is for long periods of time. Strict Keto can really help you lose weight and lose those unwanted pounds. This is because you’re being very strict about what you’re putting in your body during this time period. Of course, there are also people who do strict Keto for a longer period.
It’s pretty obvious what the difference is between strict Keto and lazy Keto. Really, it boils down to what point you’re in life. Which way of Keto do you prefer?
