In a small bowl, add the egg and whip it with a fork.
Add the seasonings to the egg mixture and mix it with a fork again.
Add the shredded cheese and mix it with the egg mixture until it's fully combined.
Plug in the panini maker to allow it to fully heat up before using.
Sprinkle a tablespoon or more of cheese over the panini maker and let it cook for about 3o seconds.
Spread the cheese mixture over the middle of the panini maker leaving about 1 inch edge around the sides. You leave room around the sides because when you close the lid to the panini maker the cheese will spread that much. If you don't leave room the batter will spill over the edges.
Cook the flatbread for about 3 to 4 minutes until you see the steam stop. Don't lift the lid of the panini maker before 3 minutes because the cheese must form a crust before you open the lid or else it will be a cheesy mess!

One flat bread recipe will roughly make about 6 slices of bread when cut into 3 1/2 to 4 inch squares.
