small onion
or 1/2 cup onion

batch of this Homemade Taco seasoning recipe
or 2 taco seasoning packets
1
tablespoon
unsweetened cocoa powder
1
can Rotel Green Chilies and Tomatoes

can of tomato paste
1
cup
cheddar cheese
shredded
Optional Toppings:
Sour Cream
Cilantro
Jalapeno
sliced
Shredded Lettuce
Instructions
Dice onion into small pieces and saute in butter in a 12-inch hot cast iron skillet.
Add 2 lbs of 80/20 ground beef.
After the beef has browned, add one can of Rotel Green chilies and tomatoes, taco seasonings, cocoa and tomato paste.
Stir completely until all the ingredients are combined.
Allow the seasonings to simmer for about 5 minutes.
Serve warm with any of the optional toppings.
